RLBG Series Bore Gages

The RLBG Series retractable bore gages are designed per application. They are primarily used to check deep holes where long retraction is required. Recess diameters and grooves can be checked for size, taper or out of roundness. Trigger action retracts and expands contacts. The gage has a fast, smooth and uniform gaging pressure over its entire range.

Retractable Bore Gage Applications

Groove measurement - precise groove measurements can be made easily and accurately. Groove width minimum is .060" (1.5mm)
Thread measurement - the Dorsey Easy Bore can be configured to measure thread function, pitch diameter, major or minor diameters. The minor thread diameter must be larger than .625" (16mm) for this gage
Ball screw measurement - the Easy Bore can be configured to quickly and accurately check ball screw races larger than .25" (6mm)
Spherical or irregular shape measurement - spherical shaped contacts are useful in deep bores where holding the bore gage straight in the bore is difficult, the spherical shape allows only a single contact point per anvil on the bore wall
Axial groove diameter - this measurement can be made with either 2 point or 3 point contact
Groove width / Parallel surface - measurement of groove or parallel surfaces greater than .50" is easily accomplished with a 2 point flat anvil head
Spline measurement - spline, thread, or ball screw measurement of diameter, pitch or major diameter is available
